Montanita is on the Pacific Coast midway between Salinas to the South and Manta to the North. The closest major airport is Guayaquil (GYE). From there we are about a 2.5 hour car ride and we suggest sharing a taxi at a cost of about $85 per trip. Larger vehicles are available for $100-$120.
         From the US, direct routes to Guayaquil are operated by American Airlines, Delta, LATAM and United from Atlanta, Houston, New York City and Miami. JetBlue and Spirit fly from Ft Lauderdale. Avianca and Copa Airlines have indirect flights via cities such as Bogotá, Panama City and San Salvador (El Salvador).
